Where are Mole Rats located in Fallout 76?

Mole rats are a common enemy in Fallout 76, and can be found in a variety of locations throughout Appalachia. Some of the more reliable spawn points for mole rats include:

  • Widow’s Perch: This location always spawns two mole rat brood mothers, along with a few regular mole rats.
  • West of Welch Station: Along the tracks near freight crates, there is a guaranteed spawn point for two mole rat brood mothers.
  • Riverbank south of Poseidon Energy Plant WV-06: This location spawns a few mole rats, as well as a chance for a mole rat swarm.
  • Outside Riverside Manor: There is a guaranteed spawn point for a few mole rats outside of this manor.
  • Hillfolk Hotdogs: This location always spawns a few mole rats, as well as a chance for a mole rat swarm.
  • In and around the First Friends Church, in Charleston: This location spawns a few mole rats, as well as a chance for a mole rat swarm.
  • Lucky Hole Mine: This mine has a chance to spawn mole rats, both inside and outside the mine.

In addition to these locations, mole rats can also be found randomly throughout Appalachia. They are most commonly found in areas that are underground or in ruins, such as caves, basements, and abandoned buildings.

Here are some tips for fighting mole rats:

  • Use fire damage: Mole rats are weak to fire damage, so using weapons or spells that deal fire damage will be very effective.
  • Beware of their burrows: Mole rats can burrow underground, making them difficult to hit. If you see a mole rat burrowing, be sure to keep an eye on the ground for any signs of movement.
  • Take out the brood mothers first: Mole rat brood mothers are larger and more powerful than regular mole rats. If you can take them out first, the rest of the mole rats will be much easier to deal with.
