If you’re looking for Digested Goo in Fallout 76, you’ll need to harvest it directly from Pitcher Plants — large carnivorous plants found in the Cranberry Bog region of Appalachia. This is not a creature drop. You must physically interact with the plant to collect the goo.
Region: Cranberry Bog
The Cranberry Bog is the red-tinted, high-level southeastern region of the map. It’s dangerous, filled with Scorchbeasts, high-level Scorched, and tough creatures — but it’s also where Pitcher Plants naturally spawn.
These plants grow in:
- Marshy ground
- Near fissures
- Along shallow water pools
- Around thick root systems
They blend into the environment, so scan carefully.
What Do Pitcher Plants Look Like?
Pitcher Plants are:
- Tall, reddish-green plants
- Shaped like open tubes or cups
- Stationary flora (not enemies)
- Harvestable with an interact prompt
When you activate them, you receive Digested Goo.
Best Locations In Cranberry Bog
1. Near Fissure Sites
Pitcher Plants frequently spawn near Scorchbeast fissures. Check the swampy ground surrounding these glowing red cracks. Be prepared for combat.
2. Around Firebase Major & Forward Station Areas
Search the low, wet terrain near military structures. The Bog’s plant life is thick here, and small clusters can spawn.
3. South of Watoga
Wander the marshland south and southeast of Watoga. Follow water lines and shallow pools – these are common spawn points.
Fast Farming Route
If you want efficiency:
- Fast travel to Watoga
- Sweep south toward marshland pools
- Circle around nearby fissure sites
- Harvest all Pitcher Plants
- Server hop
- Repeat
A full sweep takes about 5–8 minutes.
Farming Tips
- Equip Green Thumb (Perception) to potentially increase plant yields.
- Wear solid armor – Cranberry Bog enemies hit hard.
- Clear enemies first, then harvest safely.
- Server hopping dramatically increases efficiency.
