You can make a legendary version of the Thirst Zapper by modifing it at a weapons workbench with legendary modules and legendary cores. Scrapping the Thirst Zapper grants a 25% chance to learn how to craft it. At the Nuka Cade you can use the Thirst Zapper at the Nuka Race to increase the bottle speed.
